Hi, I'm Kara!

I’m a wife, a mom of two (Ellie and Milo), and a wedding and family photographer based right here in Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma is home, but my heart loves exploring new places, cultures, and breathtaking scenery. My family travels any chance we get, usually chasing good food, fun activities, and unforgettable experiences. When we’re not traveling, my boys are usually skateboarding, my daughter is creating art, and we’re all hunting down our next favorite recipe, whether from a restaurant or cooked at home.

A few of my personal obsessions? Audible books (I’m deep into personal finance, history, and travel hacking lately), reggae music that reminds me of the beach, and being outside, grilling, watching our chickens (they’re hilarious), and just soaking up everyday life with the people I love most.

I’ve been a photographer for as long as I can remember. Even before I graduated high school, I knew exactly what I wanted to be. It all started in the 3rd grade when my teacher held a photography contest. I borrowed my dad’s fully manual Canon A1, entered, and won 1st place. From that moment on, I never put the camera down.

My attic is full of old childhood photos because photography became the way this quiet girl learned to speak, to show people what I saw and how I experienced the world. I pour my heart, soul, and everything I have into the images I create.
